I am happy ,but I'm not, about how the book "Shadow Kiss" ended. I finished it last night, but it was too late into the night for me to post. For that, I am sorry. At the end of the novel, I was happy, ecstatic actually, that Rose finally told Lissa that she needed to do something for herself for once. Lissa kept begging her to stay, but it was for selfish reasons, and Rose needed to set out to do what she needed to do. I believe her exact last big speech to Lissa was, "It's not about you okay? This time, it's about me. Not you. All my life, Lissa...all my life, it's been the same. They come first. I've lived my life for you. I've trained to be your shadow, but you know what? I want to come first. I need to take care of myself for once. I'm tired of looking out for everyone else and having to put aside what I want. Dimitri and I did that, and look what happened. Now I owe it to him to do this. I'm sorry if it hurts you, but it's my choice!" (Mead 441) I'm extremely proud that she finally said this to Lissa. It's been three books coming. I'm actually a little surprised that Richelle Mead hadn't put it in sooner, but I think it fits here. And, besides, it wouldn't be in Rose's character to say something like this to her best friend without just cause. The one thing that pissed me off was that Lissa was being selfish about Rose leaving to go and save Dimitri. It's like, "chill Dragomir, just because you're royal does not mean that everything revolves around you." 'Nuff said. Just kidding. What really made me mad was what happened to Dimitri. He became Strigoi. I think it kind of breaks my heart to read that he had become Strigoi. Sure, it wasn't like he chose to become one, he was forced to, but that doesn't make it any better. If anything, it's a slight comfort to know it wasn't of his own volition because if it had been then things would have been much worse. Although, you can assume from earlier books that he wouldn't willingly become something that destroys who you are inside; it would go against his principles.
I'll hopefully get the next book out soon. I believe it's called "Blood Promise."
Currently, I have been reading "Splintered" by A.G. Howard and it's really odd, to say the least. It had all of these aspects of crazy but at the same time, you feel like the main character, Alyssa Gardner, has nothing wrong with her. There are moments of clarity, where she's not dealing with all of the talking things around her. I have a bigger opinion to form on the book yet, but so far I'd say that it's something to read. Something to put on the to-read list.
I hope you enjoyed this post, it's longer than some of my other one's recently. :) Enjoy
I would have uploaded an image, but my computer or blogger is being stupid so I shall save it for next time.

Shadow Kiss
I have finally gotten far enough to write a review for "Shadow Kiss" by Richelle Mead. I really like this book. They way the characters still have those relationships from previous novels. Mead's style of writing is one of my favorites. As much as I love Dimitri, he's kind of getting on my nerves. Sure, he and Rose have finally recognized their feelings for each other, but I think the fact that he keeps showing those feelings, knowing full well that they won't be able to pursue them, seeing as they will be both guarding Lissa when Rose graduates, is a little selfish. This may be just my opinion. Although, it is nice when he comes to her defense against the Council of the Guardians, and saves her from being taken out of the field experience. I only about 76 pages through, but already so much has happened. Eeeh! I am wired to read further. I've heard rumors about what happens later between the two, Rose and Dimitri, but I'm still going to read and find out for myself. Sure, sometimes people try to spoil my appetite to read a book, but what they don't understand is that no matter how much you try to spoil the book, I'll always want to read it for myself. I like to know the nitty-gritty details.
Update: I am not going to be buying anymore books for a while, but I will still be borrowing books. The reason being, I have to save up to get my mom's birthday present and it's a little expensive, but she's worth it :) After that, my library has an annual spring book sale, (Paperback 50 cents, and Hardcover $1), so I'll hopefully still have some money leftover and go on a small spending spree and get some more books. I just hope that they'll have some of the books that I want, that somebody else didn't want. It's always a crap-shoot when you try to find books that you want there. Although other times, you find books that you didn't even know you wanted, but you saw it and you fall in love with it and buy it anyways. :)
I don't think I can express this anymore than this does. I have this everyday. Some of my friends have asked my why I don't have a boyfriend, and I just said, with a completely serious expression, "I already have a few, they just live in a different world than I do." They looked at me like I was crazy, but I'm not. The people in my town are just too stupid for me to ever consider going out with. So, that ^^^ says more than you'd think.

Dejection :(
I have finished "Bloodrose" and I just cried while finishing the book, and I won't say 'spoilers' and tell you who dies, but I am majorly depressed right now. Like, I feel as though the world isn't right. The axis has tilted or something. I will say this though, I loved the entire series. "Nightshade" was one of the best wolf-type books I've read in a while. Which, of course, led me to reading and ultimatley crying because of stupid events and stupid people and just a lot of stupidness. I'm glad that there are prequels that I'm going to read. :) I got "Rift" out from the library; I talked about it in my last post. Plus, it's on my list. I can't wait to read on about everything that happened before that led up to the Nightshade Series. I'm excited!
I've started to read "Shadow Kiss" by Richelle Mead. It's the third in the Vampire Academy Series. I am only on page one, so hopefully by tomorrow, I'll be further along and able to report more.
Note: Most of my tests and big projects have been gotten done and over with, so posting should start happening more often, again. I'm sorry for not posting, but school is a bigger priority for me than posting, especially when some of these tests and projects and papers are worth most of my final quarter grade. I hope you enjoy this, but I'm afraid to give away spoilers on this book. This is a book I don't want to ruin for anyone else. (:

I don't know if any of you watch the show Supernatural, but I'd say this is pretty accurate :) I love the show. Anyways, Enjoy.

Wishy Washy
Those are the exact words I would use to describe Calla right now and her feelings about Shay and Ren. I'm happy that she's happy with Shay but even I can admit that the way that she's pulling on Ren's feelings for her is wrong. I feel bad for the poor guy. If you haven't caught on by now, I'm talking about "Bloodrose" and I'm about 142 pages through it so far, they have already found the second piece and that makes Shay "The Scion" halfway complete. I feel for Calla though, I really do. She is upset about her conflicting feelings about the guys and about her ability to stay impartial and be a proper Alpha. It's hard for her. I wish there was something I could do but, then again, I'm just the reader and I have to wait and see what happens. :) Other than a small dry spell somewhere near the beginning, this book as really captured my interest.
Update!: I went to the library again today, and I got more books out, even though I shouldn't have. :) Let's see, I got:
Shift by Andrea Cremer (Prequel to Nightshade Series)
Splintered by A.G. Howard
Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead
Whispers at Moonrise by C.C. Hunter
For some reason I was feeling the S's, I don't know. I am excited to be reading these books, especially continuing three series, and then reading splintered which I've been wanting to do since I found it on goodreads but couldn't because it wasn't in print yet. *makes awkward chuckling noise, looks away and then reaches for book* I think that's my cue to continue reading, and leave you all to peace.
Note: I am terribly sorry for not posting as often as I should, but I have tests all within this week, into next, and then my research paper is due, so I may not update everyday, but when I do I'll try to make it as lengthy as possible to make up for not posting. :)

Oopsie!
I have been piled with school work lately. So, I'm am completely at fault for not updating as frequently as I should. I have a research paper that's due in a week or two and out rough draft was due this past friday, and of course, more art projects and Trig tests, so I'm so sorry that I haven't updated. By the time I'm done with everything I'm ready to crawl into a hole and sleep forever. :( I hope you'll forgive me and continue reading.
Reviews: I think I told you guys that I was reading "Beautiful Creatures" because "Entice" wasn't keeping me as hooked as it should be, and I've finished "Beautiful Creatures." :) I was so happy to read it, and I'm so glad I got past that first chapter, as humdrum as it was. The premise of this novel I found to be quite intriguing. It, oddly, wasn't like any supernatural book I've read. Ethan tells us this resplendent story of a Caster girl, Lena Duchannes, and her journey in loving him, and in finding herself, and figuring out who/what she really is, and what she's capable of. It explains that she's a Natural, which means she can control things in the natural world, henceforth, why she causes thunderstorms and rain all the time. Or, just whenever she's upset and refuses to show it on her person. Of course, at the end of the novel she isn't claimed, or taken to either the Light or Dark. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I've been told by a good source that she started to get incredibly aberrant about the characters actions, and she couldn't finish the third in the series, "Beautiful Chaos." I only hope that this doesn't happen to me when I get to that third book. :)

Late, Late, Late....
I am so sorry. I have been so busy with school work for the past few days it's been kind of ridiculous, so by the time I'm done I don't have it in me to get on the computer and update. Believe me I had to come home from school today and sleep for 5 straight hours in order to feel human again. I've been kind of a zombie. Anyway, enough about my tragic school life, I have reviews :)
So, I've been stuck trying to read "Entice." I can't seem to get invested in the story. Maybe I just need to get my head out of the stress around me and try to focus on it, I'm not sure. I have been invested in one story though. "Beautiful Creatures."
I am about 239 pages through "Beautiful Creatures" and I am so happy I finally got past that incredibly dull first chapter. The relationship between Ethan and Lena is just so....romantic and electric. I bet if they were real people you could feel the sexual tension between them like smog in a clear room. For some reason I don't want to give spoilers with this one; I'm not sure why, though. I think I'm going to wait until the end of the novel and give my whole spiel on the story. There's just so much to say and I want to get it out all in one sitting when I've completed the novel.
So I must say au revoir, and bid you all adieu, I must read and try to sleep some more. :)

Alternate
So, lately I've been trying to read and get through "Entice" but it's just not holding my attention like it should, so I'm going to be alternating my reviews between "Entice" (when I get a chance to read more) and "Beautiful Creatures."
I didn't think I'd be able to get past that first chapter in "Beautiful Creatures" but somehow I managed to finally do it and I'm on page 86 as of late. After getting past that dry spell, I've found the book to be most pleasing. I think the way Garcia and Stohl chose to tell it was unique. You're seeing it from the guys point of view instead of the girl's (seeing as the girls are usually the ones with the powers and your main p.o.v.). Instead it's more, "Hello, I'm normal, and a guy, and I've met a girl who's not normal." I dig that.
I shall try to have a juicier update tomorrow. Too-ta-loo, it's off to bed for me. :)

Fast Read
I was so happy to be reading this book that I finished it in no time. I started it two days ago and finished it at around midnight - 12:30 last night. To say I was happy and pissed off at the end of the book, is an understatement. I was extremely delighted by the fact that Henry (Hades) finally showed Kate his true feelings, but I was nettled by the fact that Persephone took it upon herself to try and dissuade Henry by kissing him. The thought if it just makes my blood boil. I mean, you just don't do that, not even to your estranged sister that you've just only met. Besides the fact that she's with someone else. Just...Ugh. I've never been a fan of Persephone in real life just learning about the myths, but any sympathy I ever had for the girl dissipated the moment she chose to kiss Henry. Just..no. Girl Code.
Another thing, Calliope has gotten even crazier and she's finally captured Kate, and guess what? Kate was...PREGNANT! When Calliope captured Kate, Calliope had to make sure that Kate was preggers so she could watch as Calliope destroyed her child. I haven't gotten to that part yet seeing as I haven't read the third book yet, but I'm excited to!
I don't know if you guys are okay with the fact that I do put mega amounts of spoilers in my reviews, but then again it's hard to review if I don't explain what I'm talking about. It would also be nice if I got some comments now and again. Just so I know if you guys like my blog, what I'm writing, etc.
I'm starting to read "Entice" by Carrie Jones; it's the third book in the Need Series. I'm only about 16 pages through that one but I've spent most of my day watching movies with my brother. :) He's not very social, so I take what I can get if he wants to hang out. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the review, even if it was short. Enjoy.

Eeeehh!!!
I love when I start reading a book that I don't think will keep me entertained, and into the story, and it does the exact opposite. Oh, man, do I love reading this book. I'm about 176 pages through it already. So many things have already happened. I mean Cronus is trying to escape. If you don't know, he's the ultimate being, a Titan. He's also the father of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, and Hera. Anyway, he's trying to escape because Calliope, a.k.a. Hera, is trying to kill Kate, our heroine, because Kate just so happens to be Henry's, Hades, wife.
Little back story: Calliope had to witness and endure her husband's (Zeus's) unfaithful ways, and she had to live with the feeling of loneliness that it brought her. She suffered and when she saw that Henry (Hades) was in a relationship with Persephone, and she was doing the same thing to him as Zeus was to her, she felt a kindred spirit. Now, Persephone finally left after falling for Adonis, and asking for her mortality back, and Calliope saw this as the perfect opportunity to try her feelings with Henry. He rejected her, threw it back in her face really, and since then has killed every girl that was in line after Persephone to take the throne of Queen of the Underworld. Calliope is obsessively in love with Henry and is in the process of trying to kill Kate, the current Queen.
I think the fact that Calliope was already loco to begin with doesn't help anything. I mean she has the rest of the original six tied down in chains, waiting for Kate to get there, seeing as she's trying to rescue them, and Calliope will kill her in front of Henry, of course we know this isn't going to happen, seeing as there is already another book, and there's too much of the book left to go. :) I love when authors put those kinds of things in a book, but you know the main character isn't going to be killed.
I'll try to have an even better review tomorrow. Enjoy.

OhMyGoodness!!
I have finished "Perfect Chemistry" and I was completely enthralled with this book. To the point that I started it yesterday and I'm now finished. :) I just love when I get a book that grabs me hook, line, and sinker. This was just the Perfect book. I'm sorry I couldn't resist the cheesy pun. I'm just going to do more of a character analysis on this one.
Alex: What can I say about Alejandro "Alex" Fuentes? He is amazing, incredible, and all around badass. The way his character moves from just making a bet about sleeping with Brittany, to actually caring about her and even changing himself to be better for her. The way he goes about things is probably not the smoothest, I mean he is, excuse me, was in the Latino Bloods, and he's only really known how to just try to survive. To try to keep his family safe. The fact that him and Brittany are so similar is what probably helps to spark that 'chemistry' between them, again sorry I had to do it. :)
Brittany: Brittany Ellis, I can completely understand her. The way she tries to hide and keep up the perfect facade so no one will know what's really going on in her own private life, the way she feels guilty if she doesn't live up to her mother's expectations. I get her. She's one of the most relatable characters I've ever read about. She's not flawless, she has things she wants to keep to herself and she has trust issues with her friends. She even has someone who she thought was a friend stab her in the back. I think that describes just about everyone now-a-days. This might just be me, but trustworthy people are hard to come by these days. I love that she doesn't give up on Alex, and even goes so far as to risk losing that untarnished image of herself. She kept trying with him and even fought against her parents to keep her relationship with Alex, and she even told them off to the point that she's trying to get them to change; to work with her and not against her. And the fact that even after 10 months of not seeing him, she still loved him.
I'm just so in love with this book, I can't wait to go back to the library and get the next two in the series out. Of course, they aren't necessary related stories, but I'm still excited nonetheless.
I'm going to be reading and reviewing "Goddess Interrupted" by Aimee Carter. I'm only kind of excited to be reading this book, this might be because it's been about half a year, if not a little more, since I've read the first book. I can still remember it, thankfully.
Oh and not too long ago I read "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare, and they've finally come out with online movie posters, Ugh, Jace is just so hot! :) Enjoy.

I'm Finally Done!!!!!!
I'm so excited! I've finally finished "Underworld!" Ugh, that took way to long to get through. I thought I was going to lose my head trying to get through the rest of that. I had to physically force myself to stay focused on the book and finish it. I think it was kind of a disappointment, though. I mean, the first book "Abandon" I loved but this one I wasn't too hot about. I thought it was a rather sad sequel to the first. Ah, well, I just hope the third and final book is better.
I've started reading "Perfect Chemistry" by Simone Elkeles. I am truly enamored with this story. There are two points of view which gives the reader a unique, if not exclusive, point of view. You get to see what Alejandro "Alex" Fuentes, member of the Latino Bloods, thinks about the world and everything that he's going through and his thoughts about the other protagonist, Brittany Ellis. Brittany Ellis is someone who you would expect to have a secret but not the kind that she's really keeping. Her sister and her imperfect life are hidden behind the 'perfect' facade she puts up in school. You can see each perspective and you can see each wrong thought they have about each other. You can see how their opinions aren't too different of each other. I'm about 137 pages through it and I started last night. I'm excited to finish this soon. Gah! I can't wait.
I'm hoping to possibly update again later if I finish or get even farther. I don't think I can really express, without dancing and squeeing, how excited I am about this book.
I found this and thought it was pretty funny because it's so true. :)
Until next time,

*Sighs*
I am almost completed with "Underworld." I am excited to finally be finishing it. I am about 273 pages through the book.
The amount of Furies that keep popping up are a little ridiculous. Sure, the Grandmother is a constant Fury, but then again the woman must have already had a hate for Pierce. Anyway, the amount of things happening to her in such a short period are kind of,...unthinkable. I mean, first she shows up at her mother's house but has to leave in a flash before her mother sees her, then there's the fact that her Uncle Chris has already seen her, her father has already called off the reward, and she's found her cousin Alex. Of course, he was being the mopiest son of bitch.Something has happened that you, the reader, never find out. Something has happened that has caused an extreme hatred from John and from Alex towards the Rectors. I shall find that out at a later time.
In the scheme of things, this book is starting to lose my attention. I don't feel as interested in the story as I should. I find something wrong with that.
However, I am obsessed with the show Game of Thrones. Oh, how I love everything about it. I want to kill Joffrey, but then again I think anyone who is a fan of the show wants to do the same thing to him. I won't go any further. But, I may, soon, review the books from which the show was based upon.
Ain't that the truth? ^^ :)
