I Don't Think There's An Extent To How Sorry I Am

I have been gone for over a month.

I am so so so so so so so so so sorry for doing that. I had planned to take the month of June off so I could focus on my finals, but it became an extended period because the WiFi on my laptop decided to take a complete sh!t and left me stranded with no way to post. And then from that we found out I had another virus and just all of kinds of stupid things, really. Thankfully those issues have been resolved and bi-weekly posting will continue.

Since then, I have read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling, and I've also read Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick. I loved both books.

I thought that the ending and final book to the Hush, Hush series was satisfactory. I am still in love with Jev "Patch" Cipriano. He will be forever one of my favorite hunky man characters. There's just something about a man who will stop at nothing to make sure you're safe and save the world at the same time. It's just...sexy. Then again, I picture him as one of the hottest guys I've ever seen and that's pretty hot! Haha

I would also like to life update and say that I have passed every single one of my classes and finals. No failing grades for this girl!! No, siree. I have managed to buy another book and my mom bought me the two books for my last summer reading assignment.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

This book is brought to you by the fact that I bought it and that I also "bought" the free sampler and read the first 70 pages, fell in love, saw it in the store, and made an impulse buy. I think I squealed like a little girl when I found it. Not to mention, the guy who did the check out thingy was extremely hot. That day could not have gotten any better. Just kidding. It did. I have an amazing cake later. Boom! Automatically better.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

This was bought by the pure fact that, although I don't read them often, I do love me a good dystopian novel/series. When I finished this book I was fascinated by my hunger to buy and read the next book. Sadly, at the time I has a measly five dollars and that wasn't going to get me very far on the book train. Plus, with the money I saved I went and spent it on the book above. I just found out that they're going to be making a movie out of this book and to say that I want to see it is an understatement, a HUGE understatement.

The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff

This book was part of the whole summer reading assignment and I must say, I as thrilled to be reading about something paranormal other than vampires, werewolves, zombies and the occasional faery. The concept for this story completely baffled me and excited me. I mean, people "living" under the town was just crazy cool. I finished this book within days of buying it and haven't regretted reading it. Although, I do hate when you get a book you're excited about only to find out it's the suckiest book you've ever read. Luckily that's only happened twice. Neither of which deserve to be named.

Lastly, before I bid you all goodnight, I must say, it sure feels great to be back!

Until next time,
The Book Nerd
