I Was Bad.....

So, I haven't had time to finish Rift yet, but I am working on it and will hopefully finish it by tomorrow (considering it's mother's day weekend and my present to my mom is to do the laundry for the entire week this weekend so I shall have time to read).

I did something bad. Well, not bad per-say, but it was something I shouldn't have done. So, one of my friends invited me over to her house today and we were going to go to this lilac festival we have in the city, but before that, her dad took us to the library and today it was fill a bag for $3.00 and he bought me the books ,which was the nicest thing ever, and the later in the day we had stopped at out local grocer and I got myself another book. In all, I've bought about 23 books this week. That's a crap ton!! I am happy though, they are all books that I either hope to like or I already know I like. Here's what I got (I'm going to also list out what I bought on Wednesday too.):

Wednesday:
  • The Complete Sherlock Holmes printed in 1930
  • Anna Karenina -Leo Tolstoy
  • The Scarlett Letter -Nathaniel Hawthorne
  • Dear John, The Lucky One -Nicholas Sparks
  • Dracula -Bram Stoker
  • Frankenstein -Mary Shelley
  • Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass -Lewis Carroll
  • The Bride Collector -Ted Dekker
  • Angelology -Danielle Trussoni
  • The Time Traveler's Wife -Audrey Niffenegger
 Friday:
  • Light of the Moon -Luanne Rice
  • Blink -Ted Dekker
  • The Queen of Everything, The Story of Us -Deb Caletti
  • The Mirrors of Her Dreams -Stephen R. Donaldson
  • The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn -Mark Twain
  • Gulliver's Travels -Jonathan Swift
  • The Witching Hour -Anne Rice
  • The Best Known Works of William Shakespeare (pretty sure was printed sometime in either the '80's or earlier)
  • Devil May Cry -Sherrilyn Kenyon
  • Heart of the Matter -Emily Giffin
  • Garden Spells -Sarah Addison Allen
Quite a few books. I bought The Story of Us at my local grocer but everything else I found at the book sale. Gah! I'm so happy. I'm just drooling over all of the classics I was able to get and the beautifully preserved old books I was able to find as well.

I will try to update tomorrow, especially if I finish Rift.

UPDATE: I bought yet another book this Sunday (today) :) I have a problem; I am aware of this predicament. But, that doesn't mean I'm going to do anything to quench this thirst for books. Now, let me tell you what I bought. What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen. I've been meaning to get more of her books and I had the money on me when my father and I went to go get a few things my mom forget to get on Saturday, so now I have yet another new book. (I have updated about Rift). That is all my loyal peeps. :)

Until next time,
The Book Nerd
