The Book Nerd: Updating.....Finally

So, I know that I haven't updated in awhile, and yes I have been kind of putting it off. I have a lot to tell though.

First: One of my very close friends, had this guy with whom she really loved and he proposed to her with a lord of the rings themed ring, it says, "One ring to bind us, One ring to show/prove our love, One ring to forever entwine us." Very mushy, I know. And at first I kind of liked the guy, and then he was an ass to her, and she dumped his ass because she realized that he was being a manipulating dick. Anyways, long story short, she was going to throw the ring into the lake and I stopped her because it would have been a waste of a perfectly good nerd ring. Now, I wear it on my ring finger, and it's beautiful :)

Second: I only have a little less than a month left of school, exciting I know, but that also means that I have to cram for exams, and I also have three concentration pieces due before the end of the year for one of my art courses. This also cuts away from any free time that I have. I can barely watch any of my shows right now (Orphan Black and Doctor Who and The Nerdist a.k.a Supernatural Saturday on BBC) and that sucks. Out loud. But, I am excited about the pieces, they are all Alice in Wonderland themed. And, yes, I was inspired by a book I read.

Third: I understand that I as going to post about my trip to my local library's book sale and report what I just so happened to have picked up, but I didn't get a chance to get online. I spent close to and hour and a half re-organizing the bookshelves in my room to make room for the new books. And I must say I'm satisfied with the results. Right after I'd gotten myself happy with the way it turned out, I had to get in the coldest most refreshing shower ever, this was due to the fact that my room was muggy and it's hard work moving lots of heavy books around places. Let me tell you. Now I shall tell you what I got:(this is in no particular order)

This was an amazing find for me. I was so happy with what I got and you'll never believe the amount that I spent, $7.50. That's it. And I was shocked because The Complete Sherlock Holmes was worth at least more than that. It was only sold for $1.00. Crazy, right?

Fourth: I wanted to let you all know that I am almost done with Rift by Andrea Cremer. I will give an update tomorrow if I can, or try Saturday. It's mother's day weekend and I've promised to do all laundry for my present to her, so I hold no promises.

Lastly: I was perusing GoodReads.com a few nights ago and I happened upon the sequel for Splintered by A.G. Howard and I thought I was going to hyperventilate from how happy I was. It's called Unhinged and on the front cover is Morhpeus and he's just so gorgeous not to mention just the artwork. Ugh! Beautiful! The only non-beautiful thing is that this book doesn't come out to the public to until January of next year. :/
