"Underworld" is making me feel absolutley glad that I don't have Furies after me and my family because holy canoli's it's downright evil. I mean, they've even resorted to torturing Pierce's cousin Alex. That's just mean! Not to mention the fact that you as the reader are right along with Pierce in not knowing if what she's being shown is really true or just something to toy with her and get her out of the safe underworld, protected by John, so they can try and kill her a third time. Ugh! Things are just not going as they should. Besides the fact that we've, up to this point, met Frank, a.k.a. the biggest old timey douche ever. All he does is insult Pierce. And, sure, she isn't necessarily the best person nor the most stealthy, but the sailor should cut her some slack. The things that were spewing out of his mouth were just rude. But, the phrase "curse like a sailor" didn't just come from myths either.
Aw, well I hope John stops being so confining everytime Pierce mentions leaving. I also hope he'll stop closing himself off anytime she asks him a personal question because that's just irritating. Sure, he gets to know everything about her past and what's going on with her but she can't know a thing about him Oh No! We just simply can't have that. Ugh, men!
Until next time,
The Book Nerd
