I'm about 107 pages into "Underworld," but I'm getting frustrated again. See they've finally come up to the real world and everyone thinks that Pierce is either dead or missing. Not to mention the fact that Mr. Smith, the cemetery sexton, is kind of an ass. Sure, he's afraid of John, but there's something about him I don't like. He's being disapproving for no reason. Pierce is trying to explain things to him and he's being extremely obtuse. I think the crew members might be growing on me though. All except for Frank. He will more than probably irritate me to the ends of the earth in this book.
I just wish this were turning out differently. Plus, there's also the chance that John's continually lying to Pierce to get her to stay in the Underworld with him. That kinds of rubs me the wrong way. Sure, she's not the brightest bulb in the socket, but that doesn't mean she doesn't see what's going on. (And I checked, she says she's not the brightest herself, so saying that wasn't an insult).
Ugh, I wish I had more to say at the moment, but I haven't had the chance to really read far today. Too much school work and no study halls :/ Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a better review. Hang in there, it'll get better. :)
